Porto – World Heritage
Porto, also Oporto in English, is Portugal's second city. Porto is often called as “Cidade das Pontes” (City of Bridges), “Cidade Invicta” (Invincible City) and “Capital do Norte” (The Capital of the North). The city is located in the estuary of the Douro River in northern Portugal.
The richness and attractiveness of its monumental and artistic patrimony, the Port Wine cellars, the many spots dedicated to leisure and culture are only some of the reasons that do the beauty of Porto.
